Interface with engineering and production to improve the safety and reliability of all electrical systems.The incumbent will:• Operate power distribution systems 138kV down through 480 volt load center feeder breaker.• Test, inspect and maintain power distribution system equipment.• Calibrate protective equipment that monitors Power Distribution System.• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all related electrical equipment in areas of responsibility including 138kV, 34.5kV, 13.8kV, 4.16kV, 2.4kV, 480V breakers, transformers, switches, relays, solid state trip devices, capacitor banks, control wiring, power cables, emergency generators, UPS systems, battery systems, cable systems and electrical room/substation buildings, and lighting systems;• Be Responsible for 125 V DC systems associated with the power distribution system (batteries, control power for breakers and relays, etc.)• Install, improve or modify electrical power control equipment;• Performing periodic Preventive Maintenance (PM) to insure equipment reliability;• Monitor and recommend equipment spare parts;• Maintain accurate, up to date records including electrical single line diagrams, simplified single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, etc. of the Electrical Power Distribution infrastructure;• Supervise contract personnel on an as-needed basis;• Maintain a higher-than-normal safety awareness and knowledge of safety procedures because of unseen potential electrical hazards;• Maintain an ongoing commitment and involvement in the quality improvement process. | ||||
